Wilson Pruitt Obituary, Nashville TN, American Music Supervisor Son Anastasia Brown Has Recently Passed Away.
Anastasia Brown Posted this on her Facebook timeline expressing her grievances …
Life can change in a blink of an eye. Mine changed forever on Friday, April 28th @ 10:58. I got another one of those horrible calls with death on the other side of it, but this one was about my beloved son, Wilson. I was outside in my TFF’s garden meditating & thanking God for the flowers, Dawn’s puppy Mimi, my family, our company, life in general & then that dreaded call came in “is this Wilson Edward Konstantine Pruitt’s mother?” “yes” “I have terrible news for you….” Wilson had been taking depression medicine and been sober for 8 years. He changed lives and made ours better every day. He was the best son, grandson, cousin, big brother, uncle & friend. Yet he never felt comfortable discussing his mental health even though many of his ancestors, my sister and cousins in my father’s side of the family have overcome (some did not) various forms of mental illness. I worried about that having seen a few similar patterns with a few family members.
After his knee surgery two years ago, a relapse followed and he stopped taking his medicine. He even stopped talking about mental illness in at all. (It’s still shameful in the US. which is so wrong). If my son had viewed getting help, talking about how to achieve mental health & taking medicine as a strength, he would be alive today. Instead he suffered an accidental overdose in Mexico. We are devastated & inspired by a new purpose to help young men think it’s powerful to ask for help, get a diagnosis to get better with the right medicine and then talk about it.
I thank everyone for the outpouring of love & support, we need it now more than ever before.
RIP Wilson Edward Konstantine Pruitt
