The man shot and killed by his wife over the weekend in East Nashville has been revealed as a former stagehand for country music legend Randy Travis.
Thomas Roberts, age 68, was discovered lifeless on his front porch with a single gunshot wound to the chest when Metro Nashville police officers came to the 1200 block of Howard Avenue on Sunday.
According to authorities, Christine Roberts, 72, was charged with criminal homicide after she allegedly shot her husband dead after accusing him of having an extramarital affair.
A Travis spokesperson informed NBC News that Thomas Roberts was a stagehand for the band for almost 20 years before Travis suffered a stroke in 2013.
In a Facebook post on Monday night, the seven-time Grammy winner paid respect to his late stagehand.
