A 39-year-old woman was shot and killed while driving her car in a parking lot in the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighborhood of the city on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
According to information cited by Noovo Info, the victim is Claudia Iacono, proprietor of the Salon Deauville Coiffure Spa where the fatal shooting occurred. She was shot several times in her automobile in the open air.
The woman was in her car when Montreal police officers arrived in the parking area outside the salon Tuesday afternoon. At the scene, she was pronounced deceased.
She was the eighth homicide to occur in Montreal this year.

As of Tuesday night, no arrests had been made as major crime investigators interviewed witnesses and examined video from the scene’s CCTV cameras.
