Where Is Afterparty Filmed? – Celebrity

The Afterparty is an American murder mystery comedy streaming television series created by Christopher Miller that premiered on Apple TV+ on January 28, 2022. The series takes place at a high school reunion after party with each episode “a different character’s perspective” of what happened that night.

Christopher Miller first conceived of the concept in 2012, and wrote the script himself while he was making 21 Jump Street (2012). Miller and Phil Lord initially planned to make The Afterparty as a film (initially titled The Reunion) for Sony Pictures, with Miller as sole director. However, they didn’t work on the project due to other commitments.

Doing so also gave Miller the idea to present each version of the event as a separate genre in line with the respective POV’s of each witness. On June 24, 2020, it was announced that Apple TV+ had given the production an eight-episode straight-to-series order, now titled The Afterparty.

Critics Consensus: The Afterparty sometimes strains to keep the jamboree of yuks going, but its ambitious melding of genres and extensive guest list of actors make for a worthwhile nightcap. A series gets an Average Tomatometer when at least 50 percent of its seasons have a score.

So, where was ‘The Afterparty’ filmed?

The events of The Afterparty take place between high school flashbacks and Xavier’s expensive hilltop mansion in Belvedere, San Francisco — the mansion from which he topples to his death, as a matter of fact. But was the show filmed in the same place in which it is set? As it turns out, not so much.

Episodes of The Afterparty run between 33 and 48 minutes, and there are eight total episodes for Season 1. The first three episodes were released at the same time and will be released on a weekly schedule thereafter until March 4, 2022.
