Biography:

Virginia Madsen was born on September 11, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Her first film appearance was as Lisa in the 1983 movie Class. The following year, she appeared in the films Electric Dreams and Dune.

In 1986, she gained recognition for her role as Lisa Taylor in the film Fire with Fire. She went on to portray a small but a substantial role in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Rainmaker.

She then received much acclaim for her role as Maya in the 2004 movie Sideways, for which she earned various nominations, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
