A prominent poet-theologian, Jami was respected and revered for his piety and mysticism. He is also remembered for his analysis and explanation of the metaphysics of mercy. Some of his most popular poetic works are Tuhfat al-Ahrar, Fatihat al-Shabab, and Lawa'ih.
