American tennis player Taylor Townsend was born on April 16, 1996. In singles (July 2018) and doubles (May 2023), she achieved career-high WTA rankings of No. 61 and 6, respectively.
Additionally, she and Caty McNally advanced to the doubles finals of the 2022 US Open and the 2023 Miami Open, respectively.
As the year’s top-ranked female, she was awarded the ITF Junior World Champion in 2012, becoming the first American to do so since 1982. She won three of the four junior Grand Slam doubles championships in that year in addition to the junior singles and doubles trophies at the Australian Open.
