Biography:

Sam Claflin was born on June 27, 1986 in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK. He finished his acting studies from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2009. A year after graduating, he made his professional acting debut in the TV movie The Lost Future. Around the same time, he became known for his role as Richard in the miniseries The Pillars of the Earth and played the young Logan in Any Human Heart.

In 2011, he made his big screen debut as Philip Swift in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Being a well-known motion picture, he instantly gained recognition for his role. The following year, he starred in another major Hollywood production, playing William in Snow White & the Huntsman. He continued his success when he landed the role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He’s also starred in The Quiet Ones and Love, Rosie.
