Robert A. Riggle Jr. is an American actor, comedian, and former United States Marine Officer.
He is best known for his work as a correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show from 2006 to 2008. In addition, he also appeared as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2004 to 2005.
On the big screen, from 2013 to 2019, he played the recurring character, realtor Gil Thorpe on the 20th Television sitcom Modern Family.
Aside from television shows, he has also been involved in certain productions such as Dumb and Dumber To, Absolutely Anything, and Night School.

Rob Riggle was born on April 21, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky to Sandra and Robert Allen Riggle. When he was two years old, his family moved to Overland Park, Kansas.
There, he attended Shawnee Mission South High School. At school, he involved himself in school activities like the school’s radio and TV stations. Due to his humor, he was voted the most humorous in high school and graduated in 1988.
After, he attended the University of Kansas, attained his pilot’s license, and graduated with a B.A. in Theater and Film in 1992.
