Washington Marion High School students and faculty are grieving the loss of a kid who passed away from leukemia.
Rhyann Green, then 17 years old, succumbed to the sickness and passed away on April 22.
On April 27, at 11:45 a.m., the school will hold a special balloon release ceremony in her honor.
Crystal Bowie, the principle of Washington Marion, issued the following statement:

“Rhyann was an outstanding pupil on our campus. Rhyann was a person who put in a lot of effort on campus, working hard as both an honor student and a member of our dance line team, “The Dancing Dolls.” She was chosen as this academic year’s homecoming queen. Our entire university has been greatly affected by her tragic death.
