In Loving Memory of Becky Lindenberg: Educator and Mentor
![]()
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we come together to reflect on the unexpected passing of a beloved member of our community, Becky Lindenberg. On the morning of Wednesday, October 25, we received the heartbreaking news that Becky was called home by the grace of God. She was preparing for her day, on her way to work, when a sudden medical emergency took her from us and brought her into the loving arms of the Creator.
Words fail to capture the depth of our sorrow, and there is no logical explanation for the profound sense of loss we are feeling. It is in these moments of profound sadness that we turn to our faith and rely on the promises of God, the same faith that Becky held dear and was baptized into.
Although we may never comprehend the reasons behind such an untimely departure, we take solace in the knowledge that God’s ways are beyond our understanding, and His love is immeasurable. As it is written, “Though the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For He says, ‘I am the resurrection and the Life, whoever believes in me will live, even if he dies. And whoever lives and believes in me will never perish.'” In this, we find comfort, for death is but a temporary slumber. Just as Becky lived in Christ, she shall live once more.
The truths that sustained Becky throughout her life are the same ones she dedicated herself to sharing. Year after year, she taught her students in the classroom, ensuring that they too knew the grace of Jesus Christ. She carried these teachings to the ears of young ones in Sunday school, investing her time and energy so that more could experience the gift of salvation and reliance on their Savior.
The question of “Why now?” remains unanswered, and we find ourselves in mourning. But let us not grieve without hope, for those who believe and are baptized shall be saved. We believe that just as Jesus died and rose again, so too will God bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in faith. Becky will rise again on the last day.
As we await further details regarding the funeral arrangements, we ask that you hold Becky’s husband, Erik Lindenberg, and their sons, Joe and Jack, in your prayers. In these challenging times, we lean on God’s comforting promises and on one another, offering support through our collective prayers.
