Biography:

Rachel Bloom was born on April 3, 1987 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She finished her BFA degree in drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After college, she became involved with Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where she had performed. She made her acting debut on television in an episode of How I Met Your Mother in 2012. She then worked as a writer for Robot Chicken where she also lent her voice.

In 2015, she gained mainstream recognition after landing the role of Rebecca Bunch on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She’s also the show’s co-creator, writer, and executive producer. For her role here, she got a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in 2015. The following year, she won the said award.
