Ambush results in death of radio commentator Percy Lapid

DELTA — MANILA, Philippines — On Monday night, a gunman opened fire at the gate of BF Resort Village in Talon Dos, Las Pias, killing DWBL radio broadcaster Percival Mabasa, popularly known as Percy Lapid.
The news was first reported on DZRH’s Facebook page, which cited a police complaint.
In a video shared to Facebook by DZRH reporter Noche Cacas, he claims that Lapid, host of the show “Lapid Fire,” was accosted by intruders on a motorcycle near the subdivision’s Santa Cecilia entrance.
When Lapid was attacked, he was riding in a black Toyota Innova. According to Cacas, he was transferred to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
