Terrible and shocking news. It is sad to learn of the passing of Michael Heaton, the Minister of Culture, who had a regular piece in the Friday Magazine of the Cleveland Plain Dealer for many years.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Archaeologists (MCIfA), the Institute for the Preservation of Historic Buildings, and holds degrees in architectural history, structural surveying, historic preservation, and archaeology (IHBC).
