A Vestal Central School District student was killed early Thursday morning when a vehicle he was in crashed on Clayton Avenue in Vestal.
Vestal police responded at about 1:15 a.m. to the Clayton Avenue and Lagrange Street area for a vehicle that had left the roadway and crashed into a fence.
According to police, officers discovered that a passenger in the vehicle, Kadin J. Abdullah, 18, of Vestal, had sustained trauma in the collision.
Vestal police and emergency medical personnel performed lifesaving efforts but Abdullah was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Police said the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Vestal police detectives at 607-754-2477.
