Missing Ciera Breland Update; Mother Believes She Was Murdered

At 7:17 p.m. on February 24, 2022, the 31-year-old Indiana lawyer was last seen by a surveillance camera leaving her mother-in-house law’s in Johns Creek, Georgia with a delivery.

After visiting Ciera’s parents in Georgia in the middle of February 2022, Ciera, Xavier, their 5-month-old son, and her dog had been in the state for more than a week.

According to Locklair, Ciera was “scared” of her husband, a convicted felon who was also being prosecuted for stalking and possession of a firearm.

Despite Locklair’s assertions, “Ciera had no intention of returning to Indiana,” the author insists otherwise. She told me, “However I have to leave, I’m leaving… Your rotting furniture is welcome in my home. I’ve made up my mind that I won’t be returning. That’s how badly she wanted to leave.

According to Locklair, her daughter confided in her about the couple’s financial struggles, claiming that her husband was abusive and was using their child as leverage to keep her with him.

The attorney for Xavier Breland did not respond to requests for comment.

Police have only publicly named Xavier as a “person of interest” since Ciera went missing, but he has not been charged with anything.

As of last week, there had been no new developments in the case, but the Johns Creek police department assured the public that the investigation “remains very active.”

Last week, Xavier’s attorney Bryan Howard denied his client did anything wrong in an interview with Fox News Digital, claiming that the case would never move forward as long as “police continued to focus” on his client.

After receiving a phone call from police saying their daughter Ciera was missing but that she had a healthy baby, Locklair said she and her husband “know” their daughter is dead.

She’s definitely gone,” Locklair affirmed. When (Xavier) reported her missing to the police, the officer informed him that she had left without taking the baby with her, and that was the first thing my husband said. She was so worried about leaving the baby with someone else that she refused to even take a shower.

According to Locklair, Ciera is a caring mother who wakes up every hour or so to check on her son, even when he has a rash.

So, my husband countered with a firm “No, no” when they made that claim. Absolutely not. She’s my daughter; she wouldn’t do something like that. If you’re telling me she went missing without taking the baby, then it sounds like my daughter is dead to me. She wouldn’t dare leave him,” Locklair declared.

However, despite numerous exhaustive searches in a variety of jurisdictions, Ciera’s remains have yet to be discovered. Ciera’s mother is praying that her daughter’s body will be located so it can be used as evidence in the event that authorities determine that she has been murdered.

We are currently at this juncture,” Locklair said. We’re hesitant to press charges (of any kind) unless we’re sure we can locate her. We don’t want to go through any double jeopardy problems if we find her later.

Locklair, who didn’t provide specifics, said that authorities in multiple states have gathered evidence and witness statements, but that they are still missing key information.

Court documents from a civil case where Xavier’s mother sued Xavier’s sister reveal that some items were taken from her home.

According to documents from the family civil dispute obtained by Fox News Digital, on April 21, 2022, Crime Scene Investigation removed the carpet and mattress from Xavier’s mother’s home as part of their search.

On February 26th, 2022, Xavier reported his wife missing from their Carmel, Indiana home. He told police that she had left the house at 10 p.m. the night before, possibly to go to a local CVS, and had not returned.

The FBI, however, claims there is no proof Ciera returned to Indiana from Georgia.

After two days, Xavier told his stepchildren “that somebody took her” and vowed “to find his wife” in a Zoom call that was shared with Fox News Digital.

“Somebody kidnapped my wife,” he told one of his kids at the end of the call. Kidnapping an adult has serious consequences, you know. Sorry, dude, but she’s not coming back.

As far as Locklair is concerned, Ciera’s body could be anywhere from Georgia to Tennessee to Kentucky to Indiana.

In those states, she is pleading with hunters and anglers to keep an eye out for the suspects and report any information they have to authorities.

The case has a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
