The Vancouver Police Department shares that Anaiya Bains has been located and is now safe.
A 13-year-old girl has been missing in South Vancouver since Thursday afternoon.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) released photos of Anaiya Bains in the hope that someone sees her or has information regarding her whereabouts.
Bains was last seen on Oct. 26 at 3:40 p.m. on the grounds of John Oliver High School near Fraser Street and East 41st Avenue.
She never returned home after school and her disappearance is very out of character, leaving her family and friends concerned for her well-being, says the VPD in a news release.
Bains is South Asian, five-foot-seven inches, and has a slim build. She has long black hair, brown eyes, and wears braces.
She was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie with a white Nike “swoosh” symbol on the left chest area, a white Spiderman t-shirt, grey sweatpants, and white Nike high-top runners. She was carrying a solid blue/grey Nike backpack and gold headphones.
Anyone who sees her or has information on her whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
