An Omaha woman died in a car crash on Highway 281 north of Grand Island.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 281 and Chapman Road.
After investigating and getting witness statements, the sheriff’s office determined that a southbound semi-truck on 281 turned in front of a northbound Pontiac Grand Am.
The driver of the passenger car, 34-year-old Lila Wilson, was taken to CHI Health St. Francis, where she later died.
The semi driver, identified as Gerald Dugan, 69, of Greeley, was treated for minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation to determine if any citations or charges will be filed.
