Joyful Drake was born on September 24, 1976 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Her acting career began in 2010 following her appearance in the road comedy feature Get Him to the Greek where she played a small role.
The following year, she gained recognition after being cast as Tasha Lawrence-Woodson, RonReaco Lee onscreen wife in the BET television series Let’s Stay Together, which she still plays up to present. The show is currently in its fourth season.
In 2012, she was cast as Amber Lamps in Craig Moss’ action film Bad Ass starring Danny Trejo, Charles S. Dutton, and Ron Perlman.
