An alleged attempted murder-suicide that is being looked into by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office happened early on Sunday morning.
According to information given by Sheriff Paul Sigsworth of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place around 3:45 a.m. on the 9000 block of Ohio 269 close to Strecker Road.
At age 26, Dan Gilbert’s son passed away.
Javon Brown, 18, allegedly pulled out a firearm when he and a girl, 17, were discussing their relationship. According to the sheriff’s office, Brown then shot the girl in the head before killing himself.

The young woman was transported to Sandusky’s Firelands Regional Medical Center. She is in a stable condition as of 9:30 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
The gunshot is being handled as an attempted murder-suicide by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and sheriff’s detectives, according to the sheriff’s office.
