According to reports, Charlie Chaplin’s daughter Josephine Chaplin died at the age of 74.
According to a death notification issued by her children Charly, Julien, and Arthur published in the French daily Le Figaro on July 13, Chaplin died in Paris.
The notification did not specify the cause of death, but it did mention that a funeral would be held in the French capital.
In 1952, Chaplin made her acting debut in one of her father’s final films, Limelight, as the character youngster in the opening sequence.
Her next role was in A Countess from Hong Kong, a romantic comedy written, directed, and composed by the silent film great.
Chaplin then appeared in the 1972 film Canterbury Tales, directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini, and the following year in Escape to the Sun.
Other films in which she has appeared include Jack the Ripper, The Bay Boy, and Docteur Françoise Gailland, in which she co-starred with Isabelle Huppert.
Chaplin performed in several TV shows during the 1970s and 1980s before her final appearance in the film Downtown Heat in 1994.

Chaplin was one of her father’s 11 children, and her mother was his fourth wife.
Chaplin was an English comedy actor, filmmaker, and composer who became known around the world as the Tramp.
