On Thursday, October 20, 2022, an online obituary revealed the passing of Edward Tuson, a former executive chef of Sooke Harbour House and most recently the owner of Black Market Meats on Otter Point Road.
His death did not have a known reason.Tuson was a legendary figure in Sooke; he served as head chef at the Sooke Harbour House for 15 years, operated the Edge restaurant there, and, a few years ago, launched the Black Market Meats deli and food truck at the brewery. He could make delicious food and was always helpful and pleasant.As we grieve alongside family and friends for this significant loss, words can’t adequately express our sorrow for your loss.
