The person killed in a car accident on Wednesday in Saline County has been named as Grant Lysell-Alkire of Lindsborg, Kansas.
Lysell-Alkire, 21, lost his life in a single-vehicle collision Wednesday night close to Bridgeport.
Lysell-Alkire, according to reports, was a passenger in a Mazda SUV when it apparently left the road and went into a culvert around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday on Interstate 135 near South Old Highway 81 near Bridgeport. The car then overturned.
At the scene, it was determined that Lysell-Alkire had died from blunt force trauma injuries.
The 16-year-old driver of the car was taken with minor wounds to a local hospital.
The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
