Mahinda Rajapaksa (born 18 November 1945 as Percy Mahendra Rajapaksa) is a Sri Lankan politician.
From 2005 to 2015, he served as President of Sri Lanka, Prime Minister from 2004 to 2005 and 2019 to 2022, Leader of the Opposition from 2002 to 2004 and 2018 to 2019, and Minister of Finance from 2005 to 2015 and 2019 to 2021.
He has been the Kurunegala Member of Parliament (MP) since 2015.
