Bushwhacker Butch, a legendary wrestler, passed away on Monday after a short illness, according to his longtime tag team partner Luke. Age-wise, he was 78.
Luke revealed in an interview over the weekend that Butch’s hospitalization in the ICU on Friday after landing in Los Angeles for WrestleMania was caused by a “situation with medication.”
He arrived from New Zealand on Wednesday, everything went well. He was covert on Friday morning.
Butch began wrestling in New Zealand in 1964 before moving to the United States not long after. The Bushwhackers had a similar impact to Luke once they joined the World Wrestling Federation in the late 1980s.
Butch was a decades-long absolute icon who was also honored by the WWE.
According to Luke, Bushwhacker Butch, actual name Bob Miller, passed away last week after being admitted to the hospital with an illness.

“This past weekend in Los Angeles, Bob flew in from New Zealand to join me for Wrestlemania weekend and the associated festivities, neither of us knowing it would be our last days together and his last days of life,” Luke continued after remembering how the Bushwhackers came together.
