Footballer Bobby Todd

Bobby Todd, a former Rotherham United footballer, died at the age of 72.

Bobby joined the Millers on a free transfer from Liverpool in March 1968, and made his league debut just a few months later, as a substitute in a 4-1 win over Tranmere Rovers.

Bobby, who was born in Goole, started his career as an apprentice with Scunthorpe United before moving to Merseyside in July 1967.

After that, the Millers became his third club, although he didn’t remain long, as he only made six appearances in total two starts and four substitute appearances with one start at outside left and the other at inside left.

Before retiring from football, he played for the Workington Reds for a spell.
