Ana Pauker was a Romanian communist leader. In 1947, she became the world's first female foreign minister and served in that position until 1952. After the Second World War, Ana Pauker led the Romanian Communist Party unofficially. Her life and career inspired a 2016 feature-length documentary by film director Radu Gabrea.
