Dr. Beth Ashford is a board-certified Head and Neck Surgeon originally from Aiken, South Carolina. She went to undergraduate school at Presbyterian College and then received her medical doctorate from the University of South Carolina, having graduated magna cum laude as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During residency, she participated in two humanitarian surgical trips to Kenya where she cultivated her love of thyroid and parathyroid disease as well as salivary gland disorders. Following residency, Dr. Beth Ashford further specialized in the surgical management of thyroid disease and both benign and malignant disorders of the head and neck by completing a fellowship in Endocrine Oncology and Head and Neck Surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
Through her involvement in multiple professional societies, humanitarian work, and throughout her extensive training, Dr. Beth Ashford has worked with world-renowned specialists in her field. She is excited to build her practice in Athens, Georgia, where she provides comprehensive care in thyroid and parathyroid conditions. She is well-trained and credentialed with the use of point-of-care ultrasound in the head and neck to diagnose, work-up, and treat a variety of disorders in the head and neck.

Outside of the office, Dr. Beth Ashford enjoys gardening, DIY projects, arts and crafts, working out, and traveling. She loves spending time with her family, her dog Bosco and her various poultry pets.
