Dr Stout formerly was the Medical Director for Preventive Medicine and Occupational Services at Kettering Health network in Dayton, Ohio. Previously he served the United States Air Force in a number of roles including: IMA, Office of the Air Force Surgeon General, Occupational and Environmental Medicine Consultant, Senior Preventive Medicine Consultant and a Principal Investigator, Air Force Health Study.
Dr Stout currently serves on the NIOSH Board of Medical Advisors and as Ardmore Institute of Health Board Chair. He just completed 9 years of service as a Trustee and vice- Chair of the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr Stout has served the American College of Preventive Medicine as a two term Regent, Chair of the Young Physicians Section, on the AMA Preventive Medicine Section Council and as AMA Young Physicians Section Delegate. In addition to his service on the ACPM Board, Dr Stout has served ACOEM as Chair of the Young Physicians Section, AMA Young Physicians Section Delegate, in the ACOEM House of Delegates and on the Board of Editors, Chemical Health & Safety. He is an early advocate and supporter of Lifestyle Medicine and served two terms on the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr Stout received his B.S. from Andrews University, his M.D. from Loma Linda University and his Family Practice training at Hinsdale Hospital in Chicago, where he was Chief Resident. He earned an MPH from The Johns Hopkins University, School of Hygiene and Public Health and an MPH-HA from Benedictine University. He is Board Certified in Family Practice, General Preventive Medicine and Public Health and Occupational Medicine.
