I'm an alumnus of the MD, PhD program at the University of Utah School of Medicine. I have my PhD in Human Genetics (Lynn Jorde Lab). The primary focus of my research included population genetics and genomics. Specifically, I studied the genetic mechanisms that have allowed Tibetan populations to adapt to a high altitude environment. I also did work investigating how genetic risk factors play a role in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis pathogenesis and other clinical disorders.
