Dr. D. Jay McCracken, MD – Atlanta, GA

An ABNS board-certified Neurosurgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of brain, pituitary, and skull base tumors. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 2005 and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011. He then completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at Emory University in 2018 where he also completed a CAST approved fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology and Skull Base Surgery.

Additionally, Dr. McCracken specializes in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, Chiari malformations, and hydrocephalus. He offers many different approaches, tailored to each patient, ranging from open and minimally invasive craniotomies, endoscopic approaches to the skull base, percutaneous procedures for trigeminal neuralgia, and stereotactic radiosurgery.

He currently serves as the Co-Director of the Piedmont Brain Tumor Center at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and is Medical Director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program where both the Gamma Knife and Linear Accelerator based SRS platforms are offered.
