After Joseph Kapacziewski graduated from high school in 2001, he enlisted in the United States Army, few months before the 9/11 attacks.
His right leg was amputated after he was severely injured in a grenade blast while serving as a U.S. Army Ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He’s completed an urbanathlon, three triathlons, and dozens of other competitions while continuing to serve as a squad leader in the Ranger Battalion.

It is with a heavy heart that I gotta share the passing of my WG teammate, brother in arms,, and friend Joseph Kapacziewski…but I and many of us knew him as Joe Kap..he was truly an inspiration to me, but also to so many and he will be missed heavily.
