On December 26, 2022, after a brief illness, Karen Vinick, 34, of Manchester, passed away.
Karen, the daughter of Michael and Susan (Friedman) Vinick of Summerville, South Carolina, was born in Hartford and attended Manchester High School. She graduated from City College of New York in New York City with a Bachelor’s in Music and Theater Education, and she was incredibly happy to acquire her Master’s in Jewish Education from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.
Karen was a kind, gifted, and clever young lady. She had a singleness of mind, a singular goal, and a generous spirit. Karen had a clear vision for her life and went after it. She cherished her Judaism, music, theater, and education.
Her sister Lisa Lamb and her husband Paul of Manchester, her nephew Lucas Lamb, her father-in-law Mark Giosa and his wife Diana of Lehigh Acres, Florida, her mother-in-law Lynne Knox of Windsor, her brother-in-law Morgan Giosa of Windsor, her beloved puppy Ziggy who gave her unconditional love, as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, are among those she leaves to cherish her memory.
In addition to her beloved dog Sammy, Karen was also predeceased by her loving aunt Elaine and her husband Paul Marks, as well as her maternal grandparents Ferdinand and Rosalind Friedman and paternal grandparents Kenneth and Barbara Vinick.
Her funeral will not be public.
