This group started performing in 1974 and is predominantly an improvisational sketch comedy troupe that boasts of popular names like Lisa Kudrow and Kristen Wiig. In 1995, she was found by a scout from ‘Saturday Night Live’ who happened to be at a performance of ‘The Groundlings’. The scout was extremely impressed by her performance and went on to invite her for an audition. After this, she starred in various other comedies and animated movies. She has three siblings, Denise, Brian and Tommy Jr.She was raised in Upper Darby, which is coincidentally also the hometown of her colleague from ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Tina Fey. Cheri attended Archbishop Prendergast High School. At the age of 25, she moved to Los Angeles where she started working as a coordinator in promotions for A&M Records.An unfortunate event happened in her life in August 2008. Her father, Gaetano, was found dead after suffering a heart attack following a physical fight with Richard Fagan, a songwriter and a publishing partner of Gaetano.
