It has been reported that Calvin Newton who is an American Oak Ridge Singer has passed away.
His death shocked everyone. His friends and loved ones shared many tributes online
Calvin Newton was one of the greatest voices of gospel music. His career included a short stint with the Blackwood Brothers in the late 1940s. Calvin passed away last Friday, March 3rd. Pictured here at a video taping in Gaither Studios in September of 2016, Calvin Newton & Billy Blackwood.

The Gaither Homecoming Choir, which includes the Easters, Nelons, Blackwoods, and Oak Ridge Boys, will sing Papa home!
We’ll have visitation at the front of the church following the service, and if you’d like, you’re welcome to bring food to share for dinner on the ground, which was Daddy’s favorite, in the Fellowship Hall following the Gospel Singing.
The 30-minute graveside ceremony for Calvin will then take place at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 13 at the National Cemetery with full military honors.
