Nigerian politician and accountant Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu was created on March 29, 1952. From 1999 until 2007, he presided as the governor of Lagos State. During the Third Republic, he represented Lagos West in the Senate.
Affidavits state that Tinubu was born on March 29, 1952. Abibatu Mogaji, his mother, was a successful businesswoman who eventually rose to the position of Iyaloja in Lagos State. He attended Children’s Home School in Ibadan and St. John’s Primary School in Aroloya, Lagos.
He was selected as the All Progressives Congress’s candidate for the Nigerian presidential election of 2023 in June 2022. Tinubu was utilized in various capacities by the American companies GTE Services Corporation, Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, and Arthur Andersen.
Bola Tinubu joined the Peoples Front faction in 1992 when he joined the Social Democratic Party. This group was headed by Shehu Musa Yar’Adua and included politicians like Umaru Yar’Adua, Atiku Abubakar, Baba Gana Kingibe, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Abdullahi Aliyu Sumaila, Magaji Abdullahi, Dapo Sarumi, and Yomi E. In Nigeria’s brief Third Republic, he was chosen to serve as the senator for Lagos West.
The Federal Government called Tinubu in front of the Code of Conduct Bureau for a trial in April 2007 after the general election but before the newly elected governor, Babatunde Fashola assumed office. The explanation offered was that 16 different offshore accounts were allegedly being operated illegally.
