Tragic Homicide of Alisa Marie True in Fort Wayne:
In a heart-wrenching incident, 40-year-old Alisa Marie True lost her life in a devastating homicide attack in Fort Wayne. The incident unfolded tragically, with deeply troubling details emerging in court documents.
According to newly released documents from Allen Superior Court, the 42-year-old suspect, Corby James Lee, admitted to Fort Wayne Police officers that he was under the influence of methamphetamine during the incident. Lee revealed that an argument had erupted between them, leading to the fatal shooting of Alisa Marie True.
Disturbingly, Lee confessed that despite Alisa not posing a threat to him at the time, he shot her from behind. The incident occurred in the presence of their child, who was asleep in a nearby room.
The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the incident at approximately 8:50 a.m. on the fateful day, arriving at a residence in the 2300 block of Fox Avenue. There, they discovered Alisa True unresponsive, and tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9 a.m.
The Allen County Coroner identified Alisa Marie True in a statement released on Wednesday. Her cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the torso, and her passing was officially ruled as a homicide.

A chilling detail from the incident was that officers at the scene overheard a male voice uttering the words “I’m putting it up.” Subsequently, Corby James Lee exited the house with his hands raised above his head, confessing to the officers that he had just shot Alisa.
